IHS Research Sabbatical Fellowships

The George Mason University Institute for Human Studies is inviting applicants for the IHS Research Sabbatical Scholarships in USA. This scholarship is open for the 2022/2023 academic session. The fellowship program is designed to encourage qualified applicants pursuing a postdoctoral degree at George Mason University’s Institute for Humanitarian Studies. The prize money of US$50,000 will be awarded to the selected candidates, candidates will receive US$50,000 for their studies at the Institute for Human Studies at George Mason University in the United States.

The Institute for Humanitarian Studies was founded in 1961 by Dr. F. A “Baldy” Harper, a former professor of economics at Cornell University. The Institute for Humanitarian Studies (IHS) is a libertarian nonprofit organization that works with students and faculty across the United States. George Mason University is a public research university in Fairfax County, Virginia. Based in Menlo Park, California for many years, IHS moved to Fairfax, Virginia in 1985 and became affiliated with George Mason University (GMU).IHS is proud to be part of the GMU community, which has built a culture that values ​​intellectual diversity and freedom of thought and expression.

  2. Applicants can bag Post-Doctoral in the classical liberal intellectual tradition, open markets, individual rights, private property, peace, prosperity, self-determination/autonomy and other related subjects offered by the university.
  3. To be eligible to apply for an IHS Major Research Award, you must be employed full-time as a faculty member or postdoctoral researcher at an institution with four graduate degrees.
